Our company RADTKE Catering was established in 1990 in the Eastern Part of Germany shortly after the wall came down. Starting out with a Food Truck / Trailer, we opened a 24/7 Diner in 1992 in front of the train station in our little home town Guestrow. In that same year we decided to specialise in the traditional way of cooking German Sausages over wooden charcoal using the unique setup of a swinging grill over the fire. Based on this concept we grew quite quick and became well known in the Event Catering Scene in our area and beyond. We catered for Major Events like The International Flower and Garden Show in 2003 in Rostock where we were operating 5 outlets. Throughout the year we participated in many public events, music festivals, sporting and community events.
In 2010 we moved with this concept to Melbourne / Australia and started out trading as subcontractors for major catering companies like SPOTLESS, O’Brien Catering Group and Delaware North Catering. We offered our service at Footy Events at the MCG, traded at Rugby and Soccer Games for about 5 years at AAMI Park Stadium and a season at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne. Furthermore we participated on regular basis in many annual Cup Days at Racecourses in Victoria and are part of various Agricultural Shows in Victoria for many years. Farm World, Seymour Farming Expo or Elmore Field Days, to mention just a few. In October 2014 we opened our first shop at the PRAHRAN Market in South Yarra / Melbourne. The amazing daily feedback from our customers in regards to the quality of our food and the unique way of grilling the sausages over charcoal, encouraged us to open another shop at The Glen Shopping Centre in October 2017. A year later, in October 2018, we opened our third shop at TOK H Centre in Toorak. Despite the size of that little shop, it is already very popular with tradies, and the people working in shops and offices in Toorak and surrounding areas.
We are very passionate about high quality food; we love to grill German & Continental Gourmet Sausages in this unique and traditional way. It’s like being proud ambassadors bringing this kind of German cuisine to Australian tables.
